COSHH and other training

There’s no need to pay for a COSHH course, but every reason to do one. I’ve trawled the internet finding a good one that’s free, and hunted down other free training too.

This page is coming soon – in the meantime you can find a good, free COSHH course here

When I renewed my insurance recently it took me hours of searching, getting quotes and reading the small print… It’s time consuming but very necessary as policies vary, a lot.
Some terms explained and things to look out for:
Excess: The excess on an insurance policy is the amount that the policy holder has to pay towards the cost of settling any claim. It is usually in the hundreds of pounds, so any claim that’s comparartively low value won’t be worth pursuing. Excesses vary policy by policy, and company by company.
Worked on cover: Not all insurance will cover, or adequetaly cover, the actual items you are working on, i.e. cleaning. Some policies I came a cross had ‘worked on’ exclusions or an extremely high excess. Be sure to read the small print.
